With so many lovely beaches all forms of watersport can be found locally, including diving. There is also a go-kart track at nearby Morciano di Leuca if you fancy testing you driving skills!


If you prefer more gentle pursuits, the areas rich history, including periods of Greek, Roman, Turkish and Spanish influence have left their mark. There are innumerable beautiful and ancient churches as well as towns such as Alberobello, with its conical trulli houses and Ostuni the "citta bianca".
